Marvel and his crew did an amazing job on our new pressure treated wood deck. They completely tore down the old one, constructed a new one twice as big, and added a pergola on one end. The guys were polite, courteous, and worked hard. Marvel kept up with communication during the whole project. We can’t wait to start using the updated entertainment spot. Craig and his crew was absolutely top notch. We had an above ground pool installed last year with plans to build a deck this year. Craig helped us design a way to have our old deck on the second floor flow into the new deck surrounding the pool. The quality and professionalism from the crew was outstanding. Marvel and team were terrific; from the quote, to tear out of my old deck, to building the new deck. Unlike the other three quotes I received, Marvel's quote gave me detail and not just a price. And, he quoted on several different products which was extra work. Besides the quality of the craftsmanship, the clean-up was impeccable. No construction debris was left....and no lunch/snack trash ie., cans, bottles, chip bags. cigarette butts were left behind. (If there were any to leave behind!) I never imagined that I would have a new deck in February! They worked in the cold and had to navigate saturated wet ground due to the ice and rain. All set to landscape in the Spring! They replaced our old deckboards with trex and added a pergola. It looks amazing and makes the deck so much more comfortable. Once they got started they finished the project really quick. Would definitely use them agian.

What set Craig and his crew apart was their desire to build the deck of our dreams and not some standard deck form of their design. From the outset we requested alternative design specifications that were different than their usual way of making decks (beams 6x6”, 2x6” boards instead of deck planking. encasing posts with cement so no wood was in contact with dirt ) which they adapted to easily and with great enthusiasm. Throughout the project we altered plans and shifted design which they accommodated most readily. We particularly enjoyed the work ethic and personality of our crew (Rafa, Carlos, Junior, Yoel). Very professional acting outfit. Crew showed up and worked hard every day all day. They cleaned up their mess daily and the work looks to be outstanding. If you are stopping on Deck’s Unlimited’s web site to look for a deck contractor in Louisville, LOOK NO FURTHER. I worked with Craig Small and he was the most honest, open, dependable contractor I have ever worked with. Craig responded to text messages and phone calls to a fault. We water proofed our deck. After it was installed, it was leaking between the baseboard and the house, my wife filmed it and I showed it to Craig via text. His response was “This is unacceptable, we will fix it.” A few days later, they had taken up the boards, installed flashing, and fixed the issue. I’m installing a pool and I wish that Craig installed pools. I would use him for every contracting job I needed if he did more than just deck. In fact, I am eventually going to finish the ceiling of my walk out basement. Instead of using the pool contractors deck guy, I’m going to have Craig come out and finish. Craig’s team that installed my deck were polite, professional, and true craftsmen. They tore out my old deck, hand carried it all out of my yard, and installed a beautiful deck that will hopefully last a life time. In today’s world, it is hard to find a trust worthy contractor. Like I stated before, Craig is an honest person who’s word means something. I’d recommend him a million times over and would use him and his team again if my deck ever needed work (it shouldn’t).

Decks Unlimited recently completed a deck for me. I am completely satisfied with the results; Craig was very detail oriented; he was on the kob supervising and giving guidance as he consistently watched over his workers. We couldn't be happier with our new deck. We had an old wooden deck off of the 2nd floor (maybe 12 feet off the ground) that needed replacing. Craig had his guys completely rip out the old deck and replace with a new trex deck in roughly a week start to finish. We had another estimate from a large, relatively local deck builder and this estimate was 10-15% less. Deck looks fantastic, Marvel and his guys were there dawn to dusk until it was done. Great job, highly recommend these guys!
